Bnai Keshet Development
Members and friends of Bnai Keshet have many ways to support our mission and to leave a personal legacy. These include gifts of appreciated property, receiving present income from a gift annuity, and setting up various bequests.
I would like to welcome everyone to our new Development page. It is my desire to help everyone at Bnai Keshet to understand the impact of Development at our synagogue and to all of our congregants, through various articles, personal stories, and through links to the JRF Development website.
Bnai Keshet offers outstanding programs to both adults and children, which helps enrich our lives both spiritually and intellectually. These programs, along with the many services that Bnai Keshet provides to its congregants and to the community at large, require additional streams of revenue beyond what we raise through dues and tuition.
As we continue to provide opportunities for lifelong Jewish learning, and as we raise and fortify the next generation of Reconstructionist Jews, we need to find ways to give back to Bnai Keshet through Planned Giving. The Reconstructionist Movement encourages us to give back via financial and estate planning now, so that we can create a sound financial future through the establishment of a Bnai Keshet endowment fund.
Please take a moment to read the personal stores from some of our members regarding the reasons they have made plans through either bequests or some form of estate planning in which Bnai Keshet is the beneficiary. Visit the JRF Interactive Planned Giving website, and find out ways to give to Bnai Keshet while benefiting from certain tax breaks and incentives.
Our goal is to create a “culture of giving” at Bnai Keshet, and what better place to start than through a financial gift to Bnai Keshet via Estate Planning.
Shalom,
Neil Hillsberg
Vice President – Development
