TORAH READERS - We are looking for those who are able to read and those who would like a refresher course
TORAH READERS - If you know how to read and enjoy doing so, and we have not already reached out t
o you, please contact us immediately: Roberta Elliott and Nathan Goldwasser. We're very interested in widening the circle of readers to help make our synagogue more inclusive. To that end, we will be making assignments well in advance, so you have time to prepare, and even read directly from the Torah, if you choose, though reading from the Humash is more than acceptable! If you need a review class, please see below.
TORAH TROPE REVIEW: Jack Greenberg, our BK master cantillator, will teach a review class for everyone in need of trope review (not beginners) on the first three Wednesdays of February: 3, 10, 17 at BK at 7:30. There is no charge for the class. Please send an e-mail to Jack and Roberta Elliott indicating your interest. Jack has generously offered to do this so that we can expand the roster of those able to read from the Torah on Shabbat, thereby making it a more inclusive service. We thank Jack for his efforts!
