BK members and documentarians Ellen Friedland and Curt Fissel spend much of their time traveling to different cultures and recording stories that they weave into documentaries for PBS and other audiences with an overarching goal of increasing understanding and tolerance. Strong believers that the most fair, accurate and powerful stories require melting into local cultures in ways that produce bonds of trust and acquaintanceship, they have been privy to a wide variety of dealings that range from extremely joyful to life-threatening. At the Renaissance dinner they'll share some of their experiences in the figurative bear cages. Reservations for what promises to be a fascinating evening may be made at the BK office by Wednesday 6/18 at noon. All interested adults are invited; dinner is $12 and is payable by check or credit card.
